Mingxin, an engineer with a deep passion for alleviating patient discomfort and pain, is dedicated to addressing the grand challenge of bone regeneration following fractures. By combining his expertise in materials science and engineering, he is redesigning a sturdy and biocompatible using carbon fiber peek composites. Through this work, Mingxin hopes to revolutionize the support for the body's natural healing processes, pushing the boundaries of patient care through engineering solutions.
Mingxin is an active member of the Forrest Research Foundation (FRF) Community and served as the president of the FRF Council in 2023. He has enjoyed supporting residents, developing strategies, engaging in science communication, and forming cross-institution partnerships both nationally and internationally.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
