Biography

Milad is an experienced Clinical/Research Medical Radiation Practitioner-RT at the Department of Radiation Oncology, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH). His clinical experience covers a broad range of radiotherapy techniques, including CyberKnife Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Proton Therapy, Advanced Treatment Planning, and Adaptive Radiotherapy.

After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from La Trobe University and a Master’s degree in Radiotherapy from Monash University, Milad undertook advanced training at four Victorian hospitals. Prior to joining SCGH, he gained experience in specialised radiotherapy techniques at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Gippsland Cancer Care Centre/Alfred Health, and Olivia Newton-John Cancer Centre.

Milad has a strong interest in clinical research and trials, with a particular focus on advanced practices and patient-specific treatments aimed at improving precision in radiotherapy techniques and reducing treatment-related toxicities in cancer patients. After implementing several techniques at SCGH, his growing passion for high quality patient care has led him to pursue further studies through a PhD at the University of Western Australia.

Milad is also a member of the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG), and the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) Proton Therapy Reference Group.
