Personal profile

Biography

I am a Professor and Head of the School of Human Sciences at the University of Western Australia. I lead a program of research to improve community physical activity and health. My research has focused on core science, translation and most recently children’s physical literacy development and the use of technology in the measurement and promotion of health. Much of my research has focused on providing evidence in support of introducing healthy public policy, or policies that support positive health behaviours. A large proportion of this research has involved the measurement of population health behaviour prevalence and the impact of population-level interventions.
