Personal profile


I am a Senior Lecturer in Economics in the Department of Economics at the University of Western Australia, Perth, Australia. My research is in the field of health economics and explores how health (disability) impacts on economic and social well-being. Before joining the University of Western Australia, I was Head of Economics at RMIT University Vietnam (2017-2018) and Research Fellow at the Nossal Institute for Global Health, The University of Melbourne (2012-2017) where I remain an honorary senior research fellow. I am also a research affiliate with the Australian Centre of Research Excellence in Disability and Health. My research has been funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (UK), World Health Organization, and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. I obtained my PhD from the Australian National University in 2011.
