Personal profile

Biography

I am a current PhD student at UWA, working in a multidisciplinary team of engineers, physiologists, and doctors to develop and apply a laser-based medical imaging technology for the clinical setting. My project seeks to improve treatment for and knowledge of severe Asthma, particularly the airway smooth muscle that actively drives airway contraction.

My goal is to advance treatments of human diseases and conditions, particularly respiratory diseases, and improving the scientific knowledge in the biomedical and clinical sciences. For this I am designing, building, and applying approved laser-based medical imaging instruments.
