Biography

Dr Merridy Grant is a Senior Lecturer in the Western Australian Centre for Rural Health, University of Western Australia and an Adjunct Research Fellow in the Curtin University School of Population Health. Merridy has a Master’s Degree in Research Psychology and a PhD in Psychology. Her primary research focus is community-based mental health and she has over 15 years experience in conducting research in Western Australia and low-and-middle income countries in Africa to improve health and wellbeing outcomes in young people and adults. She has extensive experience of working with marginalised populations and has an interest in working with communities to improve outcomes through co-creation of knowledge/solutions with a particular interest in qualitative research and participatory methodologies.
