Biography
Megan is in the third year of her PhD in data science at UWA, researching travel patterns from the commuter perspective primarily in public transport data with the Planning and Transport Research Centre (PATREC). With a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical, Hons) and Bachelor of Science (Discrete Mathematics) from the University of Melbourne, and a Master of Data Science with Distinction from the University of Western Australia, Megan also has ten years of experience in climate change and sustainability consulting and is currently Analytics Lead at specialist climate change consultancy Energetics. Her background and interest in modelling and analysis for sustainability purposes have led her to this PhD topic, titled in short “The x minute neighbourhood”.
