Roles and responsibilities

Mayumi is currently working as an Administrative Officer as part of the Student Services Team at the UWA Business School. The key purposes of the Student Services team is to provide ongoing support and to engage with students during their initial transition into higher education and throughout their University journey. The major drive for this team is to increase student satisfaction with the school, and to also encourage academic success and wider achievement across all programs and groups.

Mayumi’s responsibilities within this team include supporting both undergraduate and postgraduate students during their studies at the Business School. She offers tailored course advice and knowledge, assistance with study plans, enrolments and timetables, delivering information to new and prospective students and providing a high level of administrative support.

Prior to the current role Mayumi worked as Student Services Coordinator at Taylors College for 2 years supporting students’ welfare, organising and running Orientations, Graduation Ceremony, Faculty Showcases, UWA Campus Tour and Student Council.
In addition to that Mayumi also worked as Education Consultant/Marketer at Staff Solutions Australia for one year helping mainly Japanese students to plan their studies in Australia and encourage them to pursue their future goals.
