Maureen is a researcher with a very strong interest and expertise in international and national politics and the interface between politics and the law. She holds of BA (Hons), a Master of International Relations with a Master of International Environmental Law and a PhD in Law. Maureen's area of research interest is international and comparative environmental law and policy with an emphasis on water law and policy and water governance. Her research explores international and national laws for the conservation and management of rural water and multi-level governance systems. Her most recent area of research includes the intersection of climate change with freshwater law and policy and the role of scientific knowledge to promote policy formulation and political decision-making.
