Biography

Mark Griffin is professor of Management in the Business School at UWA where he is Director of MBA Programs and Director of the Centre for Safety. He received his PhD from the Pennsylvania State University and has held appointments at the University of Sheffield, UNSW, QUT, and the University of Queensland. He is currently Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Psychology and is past Associate Editor of the Journal of Management and Organizational Psychology Review. He is a Fellow of the US Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology and the Association for Psychological Science. He is a previous Chair of the Research Methods Division of the US Academy of Management. Mark joined UWA in 2010 after being awarded an ARC Future Fellowship. Mark’s research examines the way individuals contribute to organisational performance and he has managed large-scale organizational studies in areas of safety, leadership, well-being, and productivity. He has developed assessment tools for use in a range of industries across Australia, Europe, UK, US, and Asia and is an expert in modelling multilevel and longitudinal data.
