Research

The research focus is Innovative in vivo and in vitro pre-breeding methodologies based on assisted single seed descent SSD in legumes, viz. field pea, chickpea, lentil, lupin, subterranean clover and Medic species, immature seed –technologies for germination of immature seed, Cicer arietinum improvement by targeted introgression of genes from wild relatives, and abiotic stress screening in grain legumes. Research ranges from developing novel techniques for rapid initiation of flowering and precocious germination to define the hormone status of immature seed prior to precious germination.
Research student supervision: I have collaborated in the training to undergraduate students.
