Biography

Marcus is an experienced pathologist and medical educator. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Tasmania school of medicine, and subsequently trained in Anatomical Pathology at the Royal Hobart Hospital and PathWest. He undertook post-Fellowship training at UCLH and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London and currently is a consultant pathologist at PathWest QEII Medical Centre, Perth, subspecialising in Head and Neck pathology and Surgical Neuropathology.

Marcus has worked at UWA since 2017, and currently serves as Co-Director of the MD program and Head of Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine within the UWA Medical School.  He has extensive involvement in teaching pathology, assessment and student selection.

Teaching overview

Marcus is the pathology lead at UWA medical school and is heavily involved in training pathology registrars through the RCPA/PathWest training program.  He also provides teaching to biomedical science and allied health students.
