Current projects

PhD candidate at the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering.
Throughout my PhD project I am using AI techniques in order to optimise the topology of remote electricity distribution networks: What is the best way to connect electricity customers in rural areas? Where does it make sense to group customers together and form self-sufficient microgrids?

During this time I have been involved in teaching by facilitating and marking test, exams and assignments in the following units: Discrete Structures, Relational Databases, Software Engineering with Java, Statistics for Science

From 2016 until 2017 I worked as a research assistant at the University of Stuttgart. Part of my role was to assist in the teaching of the Energy Economics unit. My role was to help with the organisation of the unit, revision of lecture material, creating tests and exams, and giving tutorials.

From 2012 until 2016 I ahve been a tutor at the RWTH Aachen University at “Lehrstuhl A für Mathematik” and “Lehrstuhl für Mathematik (Algebra)”. My role consisted of tutoring and marking in the following units: Foundations in Mathematics, Linear Algebra I, Analysis II, Complex Analysis I and Mathematics for Engineers

Funding overview

My current research as a PhD student is funded through a scholarship by the Forrest Research Foundation.
