Biography

Mahtab started her Ph.D. in 2019 at the Centre for Exploration Targeting as a MinEx CRC student. Her project is mostly about the integrated inversion of reflection seismic and gravity datasets with a focus on the compatibility of the results with 3D geological modeling purposes. The outcome of her Ph.D. research will be methodologies that allow the automatic utilization of 2D seismic and 3D gravity datasets to generate a 3D model of the subsurface.

She is also working on the application of the developed methodologies in some Australian case studies (Yamarna, WA and Boulia QLD) to show the applicability of the approaches in hard-rock (mineral exploration) scenarios.
