Ms. Maanasi M is an Optometrist and researcher from India, specializing in the cutting-edge field of multimodal imaging of retina and glaucoma, image analysis, and low vision. Currently, she is pursuing her doctorate at the University of Western Australia. Her academic journey includes the attainment of a Master's degree in Optometry from the esteemed Elite School of Optometry, affiliated with SASTRA Deemed University, where her postgraduate thesis delved into the intricate realms of "Choriocapillaris and Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy."
Furthermore, she has adorned her professional repertoire with the prestigious Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), a distinction she achieved in 2020. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor's in Optometry from the distinguished Elite School of Optometry, affiliated with BITS Pilani. After her post graduation, she became a part of a reputed institution, Aravind eye hospital, where she served as a clinical and research optometrist and was in charge of ocular diagnostics in the retina department. She also mentored optometry fellowship students and collaborated with ophthalmologists to publish research papers. Her scholarly pursuits have been augmented by her collaboration with esteemed mentors such as Dr. Parveen Sen, Dr. Rajiv Raman, Dr Anand Rajendran and Dr. Sarika Gopalakrishnan, leading to publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals and presentations at numerous scientific conferences across India, where her contributions have been met with commendation.
