Biography
Lavinia is a librarian in the Student Learning team at UWA Library. She provides support for teaching and learning activities across UWA, as well as assisting students with finding and evaluating scholarly information, and referencing. Lavinia is also a casual tutor in professional and academic communications.
Lavinia has a Bachelor of Arts from UWA with a major in Linguistics and a major in Italian Studies, as well as a focus on Classics, ancent history, and Latin. She also has a Graduate Diploma in Information and Library Studies from Curtin University, and a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching from UWA.
Lavinia's professional interests are focused on evidence-based pedagogy, inclusive teaching, and client service. She is involved in diversity and inclusion work for the LGBTQIA+ community through the development and delivery of Ally training at UWA, and through membership of the University's LGBTIQA+ Working Group.
