    Biography

    Dr Sandy-Hodgetts is a Senior Research Fellow/Senior Lecturer at the Burns Injury Research Unit, School of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Western Australia.  Her research interests are in wound healing, prevention, risk assessment and clincial trials in surgical wound healing. Kylie is the immediate Past Chair, Board Wounds Australia and was the inaugural Deputy Chair. Kylie has served on a number of boards including the European Wound Management Association (EWMA), Council Member and board member Cooperating Organisations Board EWMA.  Kylie is the Founder and inaugural President of the International Surgical Wound Complications Advisory Panel (ISWCAP), a culmination of her research activity and doctoral work into early identification and prevention of surgical wound complications.  Kylie is Director of the Skin Integrity Research Institute, UWA.
