Kim Feddema is a third year PhD candidate researching how social media is changing the nature of illegal wildlife trade (IWT). Her aim is to incorporate marketing theory and analysis into the study of global wildlife trade to reduce demand for illicit goods and improve conservation outcomes for species.
Specifically, she researches how we can apply theories such as the Elaboration Likelihood Model, Motivation, Ability, Opportunity Theory and Service Dominant Logic to better understand how consumers form their perceptions and purchasing behaviours around wild species.
She is currently a Casual Tutor and Teaching Assistant in the Marketing Department of UWA and has experience in -
