Biography
Kate is currently the Team Manager of the Student Centre, which is an integral function of the Student Services Team at the UWA Business School. The key purposes of the Student Services team are to provide ongoing support and engage with students during their initial transition into higher education and throughout their University journey. This includes raising student satisfaction, success and achievement across all programs and groups of students.
As Team Manager, Kate’s responsibilities include supporting her staff to service both undergraduate and postgraduate students during their studies at the Business School, offering tailored course advice and knowledge, assistance with study plans, enrolments and timetables, delivering information to new and prospective students and providing a high level of administrative support. As the main reception of the Business School, the Student Centre are also the first point of contact for all guests to the Business School, and are always on hand to answer any general enquiries.
Kate first came to UWA in 2012, where she worked in Student Administration for 18 months as part of the Examinations and Progressions Team. This experience provided valuable knowledge in the central operations of the University, and introduced her to University policy and procedure.
Prior to working at UWA, Kate worked as an Event Coordinator on conferences locally, nationally and internationally, with a vast array of corporate clients. She thrives on providing quality customer service in all the roles she’s undertaken, and is now enjoying focussing this passion on delivering an exceptional student experience.
