Personal profile
Biography
I'm an information person. In the library, I describe and organise information so you can discover it, make a new connection and create something amazing. As a strategic communicator, I wield information to tell your story and influence perception and behaviour for positive change.
Roles and responsibilities
I enable and optimise access to University collections to support, stimulate and innovate teaching, learning and research, specialising in metadata, bibliographic description, acquisitions, digital assets and systems.
As well as the University Library, I work with collection owners across UWA to help them connect their unique collections to the world and preserve them for future generations in UWA Collected, the digital home of the University's significant cultural collections.
Current projects
UWA Collected
UWA Collected is the new central digital asset and collections management system for storing, preserving and exploring the University’s digital collections. UWA cares for a diverse range of internationally significant cultural, historical and research collections. UWA Collected brings collections held across UWA together in one place, many of them widely accessible for the first time.
Previous positions
I've worn a variety of library hats in roles across public, school and corporate libraries, including in technical services, student learning and service development.
Before joining the University, I was at the Department of Education developing, implementing and advising on strategic communications and marketing to support public education in Western Australia.
