Personal profile

Biography

Dr Jing Yu joined UWA Business School in 2008 after completing the Ph.D. study in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The focus of her doctoral thesis is on the differences in investment decisions across countries. Jing has diverse research interests in areas of corporate governance, international corporate finance, and empirical market microstructure. Her research articles have been published or accepted for publication in various leading accounting and finance journals such as Review of Finance, Contemporary Accounting Research and Journal of Banking and Finance. Her papers have won several best paper awards at international conferences and at the UWA Business School. In addition to her high quality research profile, Jing is a passionate lecturer and supervisor to many Honours, Masters and PhD students. She is also a CFA charterholder and actively involved in the CFA local society.
