Jessica Wall is a PhD candidate in Classics and Ancient history. Her research interests include Roman Imperial History, Historiography, Narratology, Morality, and Gender. She is currently working on her doctoral thesis, tentatively titled Dionysius of Halicarnassus and the Moral Lessons of the Roman Antiquities: Gendered Morality, Narrative and Explanation, which looks at the role of moral-didacticism and its gendered application in the 1st century BCE historiographical narrative the Roman Antiquities by Dionysius of Halicarnassus.
Jessica received her BA (Hons. I) in Classics and Ancient History from the University of Western Australia, with a second major in History. In 2023, she was awarded the RTP Scholarship for her academic excellence.
Classics and Ancient History HDR representative on the School of Humanities Research and Research Training Committee.
