Jessica Murray is a Lecturer in English and Literary Studies, and Gender Studies, at UWA, where she also completed her PhD in 2022. Her research explores the word and idea of conscience in the nineteenth century at the intersections of literature, law, moral philosophy, and science. Jessica has a particular interest in the writings of George Eliot, and in nineteenth-century conceptions of language.
Jessica is coordinating the following units in English and Literary Studies, and Gender Studies, in 2025:

GEND3904 Queer Theory
She also tutors in ENGL1002 Literary Classics and ENGL3604 Victorian Dreams.
