I am the platform leader and academic representative for the nanoSIMS facility based at UWA. The UWA nano SIMS is a flagship Microscopy Australia facility - meaning the facility is available to academic and industry interests Australia wide (and internationally). We are home to two nanoSIMS instruments (Cameca 50 and 50L), the only ones of their kind within Australia.
I have many years experience in the application of nanoSIMS (high resolution mass spectrometry) to everything from geology, cosmo-chemistry, medicine, environmental to materials science applications. My particular area of expertise is with biological samples, particulaly isotope tracing within plant-microbe-soil systems.
My primary role is to assist researchers (or industry partners) how to apply/use nanoSIMS analysis to benefit their needs.
