Biography

My main research is in the area of seventeenth-century poetry, chiefly by John Milton. I have special interests in poetics and rhetoric, affect and emotions, and aesthetics from this period extending into the present.  I am more generally interested in poetry from the Renaissance, the Romantic, modern and post-modern periods.
