Biography

Jane Mantzalas is a Research Fellow within the School of Psychological Science. Her research interests centre around autism and improving the mental health and wellbeing of autistic people. 

Jane is affiliated with the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Victoria, and her PhD thesis titled “Characterising Autistic Burnout and its Underlying Mechanisms - An Exploratory Investigation” is currently under examination.

Jane's thesis aimed to identify the core features of autistic burnout, how it may impact the lives of autistic people, and what may be done to assist with prevention and recovery.
