Research

My research focuses on using both animal and cell culture models to investigate the effect of prophylactic creatine supplementation as an adjuvant therapy to protect the fetal lungs against antenatal inflammation.

Specifically, I'm interested in the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of creatine, and whether it can mitigate in utero damage to help to improve respiratory outcomes for preterm infants.
