Biography
Dr Le is an adjunct Research Fellow with Centre for Child Health Research, UWA Medical School. She is also a Biostatistician and Data Analyst in the Infectious Diseases Epidemiology Team, Telethon Kids Institute; a researcher with the Wesfarmers Centre of Vaccines and Infectious Diseases; and adjunct Research Fellow with Curtin University. She completed her PhD in Economics at Australian National University, Master in Applied Statistics at Queensland University of Technology, and Master in Development Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam and National Economics University of Vietnam. She possesses strong analytical and advanced econometric modelling skills. Dr Le’s research has been published extensively in top journals in the health and economics fields, and public reports. She was awarded one of the most distinguished fellowships available to young researchers in the field of trade and development, The Pacific Trade and Development Fellowship for Young Scholars, in 2011. Her research has been funded by prestigious competitive schemes including the Australian Research Council under the Discovery Scheme and the Wesfarmers Centre of Vaccines and Infectious Diseases’ Scientist-Clinician Partnership seed Grant.
She is passionate about research with strong policy elements. Her current research uses large population-based linked dataset to investigate inequity in burden of diseases, vaccine impact evaluations, policy evaluations, child health and development and intergenerational transmission of health and human capital.
Besides work, she loves Australian nature and cycling along beautiful Western Australian’s Swan River with her children.
