Hilmi is currently completing a PhD at the School of Population and Global Health, University of Western Australia (UWA), under the supervision of Professor Sandra Thompson, Associate Professor Judith Katzenellenbogen, and Associate Professor Nahal Mavaddat. He is also a lecturer and researcher in the Public Health Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Islam Bandung, Indonesia.
With 15 years of medical practice experience, Hilmi holds an MD from Universitas Indonesia, an MPH from Universitas Padjadjaran (Indonesia), and certification as a family physician from the College of Family Medicine of Indonesia.
Hilmi’s research interests include metabolic health, rural health policy, and primary care. His doctoral work focuses on exploring the perspectives, practices, and possibilities of time-restricted eating as an obesity control strategy in real-world settings. He is also broadly interested in obesity, metabolic health, circadian rhythms, health policy, and family medicine.
