Roles and responsibilities
I support researchers with the full range of contracts that underpin their research projects. This includes reviewing and negotiating agreements, helping interpret terms, and making sure that the University’s obligations and the project’s practical needs are aligned.
My work covers funding agreements, collaboration and multi-institutional agreements, sponsored research agreements, data/material transfer agreements, confidentiality agreements, MOUs, joint venture agreements, and variations. I help researchers understand what the agreements mean in practice, including matters such as IP, publication rights, confidentiality obligations, student protections, timelines, and how different agreements fit together across a project or program.
Day to day, I work closely with academics and professional staff to support and protect the research being undertaken at UWA.
