Personal profile

Biography

Born in Canada.  Early schooling led to an interest in science and food.  It was at the time an obvious choice to study for a B.Sc (Nutrition and Chemistry). A post-graduate year in Montreal followed.  My early professional career as a dietitian was in hospital food service.  This led to a senior role establishing a food and nutrition department in a new hospital in Ottawa.  A move to Australia saw a transition to a state wide role in the NSW Health Department.  Another direction followed in the private health care sector consulting to aged care and nutrition education.  A MBA degree and a further MA in Gastronomy marked a move into  a broader food role in history of nutrition and dietetics.
