Biography
Dr Fuyu Jiao is a Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at The University of Western Australia. His research focuses on gas processing, hydrogen technologies, and advanced process systems modelling, with particular expertise in steady-state and dynamic process simulation. His work addresses challenges in hydrogen production and liquefaction, natural gas processing, and low-carbon energy systems through computational modelling, techno-economic analysis, and experimental studies.
Dr Jiao contributes to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in gas processing and process simulation and previously coordinated the postgraduate unit Gas Processing Technologies. He has collaborated with industry on energy and hydrogen infrastructure projects and publishes in leading international journals. He also contributes to professional standards development through his involvement with Standards Australia on technical specifications for liquefied hydrogen.
