Biography
Faiza Chowdhury is a Research Officer at the RNA Innovation Foundry, University of Western Australia. Her work centres on RNA therapeutic development, with expertise in mRNA design, in vitro transcription (IVT), purification, and quality control. Faiza plays a key role in supporting cross-functional teams by contributing to molecular design, assay development, and sequencing workflows, helping to streamline and optimize RNA production pipelines.
She holds a Master of Biotechnology from Macquarie University, where she was involved in research projects spanning cancer biomarker discovery, synthetic biology, and extracellular vesicle characterization.
Faiza is passionate about translational research, particularly in the areas of RNA-based therapeutics and targeted cancer diagnostics. She is a co-author of a published ACS study on extracellular vesicle capture and has received recognition for her research contributions, including a Macquarie Summer Research Scholarship and an iGEM Silver Medal for her work in synthetic biology.
