Research
I completed my Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Italian Studies at The University of Western Australia in 2017. During my Honours year, I was able to conduct research that investigated the cognitive and cultural benefits of second language education (Italian). My dissertation entitled, 'Languages Education and Literacy: The link between Italian as a second language and the development of English and intercultural literacy in Year Three students in Western Australian education' was awarded a Higher Distinction grade. I am passionate about the benefits that languages education offer students and how the study of a second language enhances students' linguistic and cultural repertoires. I wish to dedicate future research ambitions to the cause for languages education to be accepted as core curriculum in Australian education.
