Research interests

Broadly, I am interested in how factors such as misinformation impact memory and decision making, and how to improve people’s veracity assessments in applied settings (e.g., in the legal system). More specifically, my current research examines the impact of AI-generated misinformation on people's beliefs, reasoning and behaviour towards applied issues, such as climate change.

Biography

I completed my PhD in Psychology at the University of Warwick in 2022. My PhD research primarily examined the relationship between the accuracy of witnesses' reports and their confidence in those reports.

From 2022-2024, I worked at the Law School at the University of Exeter, UK, examining how decision makers (e.g., jurors) assess the accuracy of other people's memory reports, and how to improve those assessments.

In September 2024, I joined the Ecker Memory and Cognition Lab at UWA on the project "The misinformation future - Confronting emerging threats",  which examines the impact of AI-generated misinformation and interventions for combatting its effects.
