Biography

Elise is a dual-qualified accredited exercise physiologist and credentialled diabetes educator. She has more than a decade of experience driving innovative health programs and professional development across the healthcare continuum, including community, aged care, disability, private practice, and private hospital sectors. Known for her ability to merge scientific expertise with strategic empowerment, Elise has a proven track record of optimising outcomes and building high-performing services. As a senior clinician and leader of the diabetes team at the Gold Coast Private Hospital, her strategic vision led to the successful development of an award-winning outpatient diabetes service and various community programs.

 

Elise is recognised for her governance-focused contributions to professional standards as a CDE Board Director for ADEA. She has driven evidence-based practice by updating policies and has served on ADEA/ESSA/Healthscope working parties, including most recently the ADEA Credentialling Pathway Team, influencing national standards. She also played a key role in the development and delivery of the University of Western Australia diabetes education course, significantly contributing to the professional training of future clinicians. Elise is a dedicated educator and mentor through university sessional lecturing and onsite supervision. Her impact is defined by her strategic commitment to evidence, innovation, and elevating the standard of care across the sector.
