Roles and responsibilities
Debbie is currently working as an Administrative Officer as part of the Student Services Team at the UWA Business School. The key purposes of the Student Services team are to provide ongoing support and engage with students during their initial transition into higher education and throughout their University journey. This includes raising student satisfaction, success and achievement across all programs and groups of students.
Debbie’s responsibilities within this team include supporting both undergraduate and postgraduate students during their studies at the Business School, offering tailored course advice and knowledge, assistance with study plans, enrolments and timetables, delivering information to new and prospective students and providing a high level of administrative support.
Prior to her move to Perth from Singapore in 2012, Debbie spent the last 10 years working with the Office of Student Affairs, National University of Singapore. Her responsibilities included looking after the welfare and initiating support activities for international students. She has also mentored and worked closely with various student groups and offered guidance in the planning of activities and programmes to complement their experience both in and beyond the classroom.
