Biography

David joined the Graduate School of Education as Principal Research Fellow in 2016. Previously he worked at the Telethon Kids since 2001.

David's research focuses on mental health and wellbeing. He was project leader for the recently completed Young Minds Matter: The second Australian Child and Adolescent Survey of Mental Health and Wellbeing.

He is also project leader for Answering the call, the Beyond Blue National Mental Health and Wellbeing Survey of Police and Emergency Services

He has expertise in the analysis of linked administrative datasets, data from complex household surveys, administrative data linked to survey datasets, multi-level modelling, non-linear modelling, and time-series analysis.

David has practical experience in large-scale survey design and an in-depth understanding of cutting-edge statistical techniques in cross-sectional, longitudinal, and linked administrative data designs. This is coupled with a career-long interest in outcomes for children and families with disadvantaged backgrounds.
