Biography
David V. Day is Professor and Woodside Chair in Leadership and Management at The University of Western Australia Business School. Day has core research interests in the areas of leadership and leadership development. He is the lead author on An Integrative Approach to Leader Development (Routledge, 2009) and the editor of The Oxford Handbook of Leadership and Organizations (Oxford University Press, 2014). He served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Psychology (2008-2014)and presently as a Consulting Editor for several other scholarly journals. Day is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, Association for Psychological Science, International Association of Applied Psychology, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Day was awarded the 2010 Walter F. Ulmer Research Award from the Center for Creative Leadership (USA) for outstanding, career-long contributions to applied leadership research.
