Biography

With over 25 years specialising in ‘Earthing’ Dr Woodhouse has contributed to the modernisation of this boutique sector of electrical engineering in Australia and to its ongoing advancement worldwide. Considered a pioneer in the earthing industry, Darren has contributed to the industry through the development of: specialist hardware and instrumentation for testing; analysis software of earthing systems and power networks; as well as contributing to standards and guidelines for the design and assessment of earthing systems.

Dr Woodhouse is a member of the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility, Industry Applications, Instrumentation & Measurement, Power & Energy and Signal Processing Societies. Dr Woodhouse is a regular reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, IEEE Transactions on Magnetics and International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering (EEEIC).
Dr. Woodhouse received the B.E. (1993), BMaths(1994) and Ph.D. (2003) degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
