Personal profile

Biography

My social work career began, after driving my station wagon from the University of Queensland, across the top off the country, and landing in the North West of Australia. After working in direct practice with child protection and family courts, I was drawn to working in schools. I therefore coupled my social work with a teaching qualification, and forthwith passionately embraced roles working as a school based social worker.

I am a keen collaborator, enjoying mutual working partnerships, avid discussion and robust practice. I have received feedback including; “Danielle is organised and easy to work alongside” and “Danielle is articulate and communicates clearly”. I am known for my flexible, innovative thought and disposition toward problem solving.

I remain connected to direct practice via a part time role in a school and welcome any opportunities to advocate for further social work development in the school space.
