Biography

Clinical Associate Professor Collin Chin is a Clinician Researcher and Consultant Haematologist at Royal Perth Hospital, Cell & Tissue Therapies WA and Rockingham General Hospital. He graduated with Honours from the University of Western Australia in 2011 and completed post-graduate training in Clinical and Laboratory Haematology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. He completed Fellowships at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Melbourne, Australia) and MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, Texas, USA).

A/Prof Chin is a Lymphoma Lead at Royal Perth Hospital with research interests in the treatment of B cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas and immune effector cell therapies. A/Prof Chin has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications, attracted over one and a half million dollars in competitive grant funding, and reviews for major journals in the field. A/Prof Chin has been awarded the prestigious Raine Foundation Clinician Research Fellowship in 2024 for developing place-of-care manufacturing of CAR T-cell therapy in Western Australia.

A/Prof Chin is passionate about improving access and bringing breakthrough treatments to Australian patients. He supervises and mentors junior doctors and students through the University of Western Australia.
