Biography

I completed my PhD on coral growth mechanisms and coral paleothermometry in 2018. Since then, I have been working as a coral reef ecologist within the Marine Science Program at the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions in Perth.

Research

My research investigates how coral reefs are changing in response to environmental change. In particular, I am interested in understanding the factors that influence coral bleaching responses, coral recruitment dynamics, coral growth mechanisms, the tropicalisation of high-latitude reefs, and the overarching capacity of reefs to produce calcium carbonate at sustainable rates.
