Biography

I teach clinical biochemistry units within the UWA's Master of Clinical Pathology program.

I am also a Medical Scientist-Toxicologist with Clinipath Pathology (Sonic Healthcare Group). My role with Clinipath involves clinical interpretation, method development, quality assurance, management, and staff mentorship within the Toxicology laboratory.

At Clinipath's Toxicology laboratory, we specialise in immunoassay and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) testing for therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM), urine drug anlaysis (AS/NZS 4308:2008), oral fluid drug anlaysis (AS/NZS 4706:2019), and other specialised clinical biochemistry applications. 

I am on the Toxicology Advisory Comittee for the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia Quality Assurance Programs.

My research interests include pharmacology and drug dependence, particularly of methylamphetamine.
