Personal profile

Previous positions

Previously worked as a Geospatial/Data Analyst within the Environmental Services industry.

Biography

I am a Geographical/Data Scientist and Lecturer, primarily focussed on leveraging GIS and data analysis in multi-displinary projects. I have worked across environmental science, contaminated land and geology, as well as conducting data analysis for Academic Integrity issues.

I enjoy the challenge of using data, both spatial and non-spatial, to find and solve problems across a range of industries and displines. My recent interest has included how data analysis of words shows the potential impacts of Large Language Models (LLMs) on written language within the tertiary sector. I am passionate about showing how data can explain so much of the world around us, as well as our interactions within it.

Prior to returning to UWA, I worked as an environmental scientist and Geospatial Data Analyst within Contaminated Land assessments across Australia. I am currently completing my PhD, due to submit in early 2026.

I have been involved with teaching GIS, R, and Environmental Science units since 2023.
