Brittany is an MPsych/PhD candidate in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Western Australia, a Provisional Psychologist, and a Researcher at Telethon Kids Institute. Her PhD investigated the neurocognitive functioning and developmental trajectories of siblings of persons with neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). Brittany practices as a clinical neuropsychologist trainee in forensic and pediatric rehabilitation neuropsychology, with an interest in traumatic brain injury recovery. Her current research also focuses on identifying transdiagnostic neuro-biopsychosocial processes associated with atypical brain development and severe mental illnesses (SMIs) in children and adolescents using the RDoC approach. She has a secondary research focus on prevention, early identification, and management of FASD, and optimizing resilience amongst children with neuropsychiatric conditions.
Brittany is on the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN) Trainee Committee, and the trainee representative on the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychologists (AACN) Disruptive Technology Initiative, an innovative project launched to foster creative evolution and transformation of neuropsychology to become future-oriented and remain relevant.
