Personal profile

Biography

I am a research Fellow at the Centre for the Advancement of Research on Emotion in the School of Psychological Science.

After obtaining my master degree in Theoretical and Experimental Psychology (2007) and PhD in Psychological Science (2011) at Ghent University, I have worked as a (guest-) postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University and at the Universities of Amsterdam and Utrecht.

Research interests

My main research broadly deals with cognition-emotion interactions, focusing on the interplay between cognitive biases (typically in attention, interpretation, action tendencies, and memory), emotion regulation, and fear and anxiety. I also have worked on projects on addiction, aggression, mindfulness, and lie detection.
