Roles and responsibilities
Blagica (Bee) Penova-Veselinovic is the Raine Study Scientific Manager and Research Officer with the Division of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
She ensures implementation of the Raine Study scientific policies and procedures, and supports the scientific aspects to all portfolios in the Raine Study, including the Directors and Special Interest Group leaders.
Bee manages and reviews the project applications through the Raine (Study) Online Submission System (ROSS), liaises with and supports researchers to create sattisfactory project proposals.
With over 10 years’ experience in conducting quantitative research, she has been involved in every aspect of health-related research; from study planning, protocol development, experiment design and conducting experiments, ethics applications and amendments, data management and bio-samples curation.
Bee posses analytical skills with evidenced data analyses experience through published scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. Her skills and expertise in molecular biology techniques, and more specifically in applied genetics, are pertinent to a range of research areas.
