Biography

Ben received his PhD from the University of Leeds in 2008. In May of that year, he began work as a Research Associate within the School of Sport Science, Exercise and Health (SSSEH) at UWA. He worked as a Lecturer and then Senior Lecturer in SSSEH from 2012-2018, and has been in his current role, as an Associate Professor in the School of Human Sciences, since November 2018. Ben co-chairs the 'Psychology of Active, Healthy Living' (PAHL) group in the School of Human Sciences. Research activity and community initiatives within the PAHL group focus on (a) advancing our understanding of health and physical activity, and (b) the development of sustainable and effective health promotion interventions.
