Dr Baige Zylstra is a researcher and curator with experience working across academic, gallery and museum institutions. She has worked at The University of Western Australia for the past two decades; teaching in the art history program, curating academic and public programs at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, and conducting research and project management for the Collecting the West ARC Project. Baige has also held curatorial and registration roles at the Art Gallery of Western Australia, has contributed to exhibition and collection projects for the Western Australian Museum, and is currently Assistant Curator of the Murdoch University Art Collection. Her current research focuses on the history of collecting and display in the State's collecting institutions, international and intercolonial exhibitions.
